Cycling - Countess Wear to Exmouth

Me, Steph and Owen cycled from Countess Wear to Exmouth on a very sunny Sunday. We cycled along the cycle route that has had even more sections added to it.

Its a really nice route, the magority of it is either tarmac or wooden raised area's, with very little of it on busy roads.

When we got to Exmouth we had some will deserved cheesy chips and a good drink of water and headed back to Exeter again, we stopped off in Topsham for a quick cider and then headed all the way back to Countess Weir.

I got back feeling a little stiff and with a slightly sore bum, we worked out that we cycled around 15 miles so no wonder!

Exeter Quay to Topsham and back

On Friday after work me and Ewart headed for a paddle down the River Exe to Topsham, its a really nice paddle, very scenic and peaceful. When we got to Topsham we had some fish and chips to fuel our paddle back up again.

We paddled over to the ferry steps and crossed over to the Canal, we got in just below the Topsham Lock Cottage and paddle our way back up the Canal.

It took us around 2 1/2 hours to do the round trip plus a bit of extra time for dinner.

We made it back to the shop at 9ish.

Flower Pots Rodeo

This post took a while but did it in the end!!
Although at first it was meant to be a Boater X due to high water levels it was turned in to the first ever Flower Pots Rodeo!
There was around 25 competitors mainly guys, with only two ladies - me and Sian!

It was very cold, dark and pretty miserable really, but everyone gave it there all and had a laugh. It was my first time ever in pots and i was advised to try and stay to the right avoiding the pit. This was going ok, until i surfed straight into it. doh! (not nice! i got stuck for a bit then got washed out, i would recommend it though).
The winner of the rodeo being Sam Anderson (no surprise there then!)
