Kayaking in the French Alps

In June me and Andy decided that we were going to go on a paddling holiday to Austria, but due to high water levels and stories of carnage, we decided that it would be a better idea to head to the Alps were we already had some friends out there.

Having to walk round a section because of a sand bank

A nice little run down the Onde

We had a great trip, spending the first week in a chalet in Valouise and the second week in a campsite next to the Byiase

Sea Kayaking - Brixham to the Dart Estuary

We'd been trying to get out on a sea kayaking trip for a couple of months now, but whenever we had the time off and had the kayaks with us the weather was rubbish (very windy)

The weather was brilliant

After a lunch stop we headed back to Brixham

Andy captured a great view

On the way back we found a little friend on one of the small islands

He was very inquisitive

We found this spooky cave on the way back that we explorered

Walking from Bonehill to Hound Tor

It was another glorious day so we headed upto Bonehill and walked out towards Honey Bag Tour

The view while eating lunch

Stopping for a spot of lunch

We then dropped down to the road and walked up to another footpath which would have been a great mountain biking track

Stopping for a picture

We stopped at Hound Tor before walking back to the car to admire this amazing view

Walking at Widecombe

As it was such a lovely day today, we had to get out of the house, so we headed out to Widecombe. We walked north onto the moorland behind and went for a very enjoyable 8 mile walk.

Just one of the lovely views
We headed out over the moors, with views of Hound Tor, Hay Tor and many others we could see for miles.

We strolled back along the country lanes
